PIM 1.16.0 extends Audit logs to the rest of PIM, rebuilds the Downloads page around search, gives you more control over how product templates are laid out, and fixes a long list of issues with imports, exports and validation.
New
Audits for brands, keywords, product lines and swatches
The audit history introduced in 1.15.0 now also covers attribute groups, brands, keywords and keyword lists, product lines (including their collections), swatches, swatch collections and swatch types. Each entry shows what changed, when, who made the change and the item affected, with before-and-after values where available.
Renames are clear. When a keyword or list is renamed, the history shows both the old and the new name.
Removals name what was removed. Taking a keyword out of a list records the keyword's name, not just the fact that something changed.
Status is captured. Keyword entries include the item's status.
Download the Audits from the Downloads page. Audits logs exports are now moved into the downloads page.
Historic Audit Logs for PDP
The old audits logs have been made available via the Historical Audit Logs Button on PDP. (Client request: Support ticket 2017)
Clicking on the button opens the history of the old audits logs in a panel.
This history is not available in downloads as the download button is built on top of the new functionality.
A searchable Downloads page
The Downloads page has been rebuilt on top of search.
Search and filter your past exports, and see each file's name and date at a glance.
Download an earlier file again without re-running the export. If a file is no longer available, you are told so clearly.
Select one or more files from Bulk Uploads and download them together.
Files older than 3 months are not available for downloads as per a previously discussed housekeeping item.
More flexible product templates
Arrange core properties your way. In a template's default sections you can now move core properties around, and add or remove your own attributes there. (Client request: Support ticket 1704)
Product and variant pages follow the template. Core properties now appear wherever the template places them, instead of in fixed positions.
Improvements
Blank names are no longer accepted. Names that are empty or contain only spaces are rejected for every catalog item, including swatch collections, and extra spaces at the end of a name are trimmed automatically.
Client Support ticket 1998: Updates to SKU logic for Cloudinary. System now searches within the while list of variants and selects the image available.
Required fields are enforced in bulk updates. Using "Clear Value" on a required attribute during a bulk product or variant update now shows the required-field error instead of saving an empty value.
Template imports publish once. Updating several of a template's attributes in a single import file no longer creates a new template version, and publishes it again, for every attribute.
Sticky table columns. Columns on listing pages stay in place as you scroll.
Tidier change history. Entries appear in the correct order. Description changes are shown formatted, the way they look in the editor. The "Actor" filter is now called "Who", and item types are shown in plain words.
Safer variant deletes. Deleting the draft of a published variant no longer shows a warning that the variant doesn't exist.
Stronger checks on SKU imports. Product and variant imports now check that SKU IDs are valid text and within the length limit, so a bad SKU can't break an update.
